IUNG representing NitroScope at the European Agricultural Forum 2026

The NitroScope project was presented at the European Agricultural Forum 2026, held on 1–2 April 2026 in Jasionka (Rzeszów), Poland.

The forum is one of the main agricultural events in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together farmers, researchers, industry professionals and policymakers to discuss the future of agriculture.

NitroScope at the 31st AGROTICA Expo 2026 in Thessaloniki, Greece

The NitroScope project was presented at the 31st AGROTICA Expo 2026, one of the leading agricultural exhibitions in Southeast Europe, held at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Center in Greece. The project was represented by Zafeiro Vaxevanidou from ena Development Consultants, the partner responsible for communication and dissemination activities within NitroScope.

NitroScope First Consortium Meeting Successfully Held

The first consortium meeting of the NitroScope project was successfully held online on 11 March 2026, bringing together partners from across Europe to review progress, align activities, and define the next steps for the implementation of the project.

Laboratory training at CRA-W strengthens methodological alignment

As part of the preparation of NitroScope’s Belgian pilot activities, a dedicated laboratory training session took place at the Walloon Agricultural Research Centre (CRA-W) in Gembloux, Belgium, reinforcing collaboration and ensuring methodological consistency across the project.

NitroScope Greek Pilot Site Kicks Off in Aliartos, Boeotia

Led by the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) and co-designed with the project coordinator Ghent University (UGent), the Greek pilot brings together field experimentation, advanced sensing technologies, and farmer knowledge to explore more efficient and sustainable nitrogen management practices.

NitroScope signs the Mission Soil Manifesto

The NitroScope project has officially signed the Mission Soil Manifesto, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable soil management and the objectives of the European Union’s Mission Soil initiative.

NitroScope at the EU Agri-Food Days

NitroScope participated in the EU Agri-Food Days in Brussels, a flagship event of the European Commission that brings together key actors shaping the future of agriculture and food systems in Europe. The project was represented by Professor Abdul Mouazen (Ghent University), coordinator of the NitroScope project, highlighting the project’s active engagement with EU-level policy and innovation discussions.

Strengthening collaboration at the Belgian NitroScope pilot site

On 1 December 2025, the NitroScope team from Ghent University visited the Walloon Agricultural Research Centre (CRA-W) in Gembloux, Belgium, to strengthen collaboration and advance joint activities within the framework of the NitroScope project. The visit marked an important step in preparing the Belgian pilot site and aligning experimental infrastructures with the project’s scientific objectives.

NitroScope at EU Mission Soil Week

NitroScope was represented at EU Mission Soil Week by Miiro Jääskeläinen, partner from SEAMK – Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, during the high-level event hosted at Aarhus University. The event brought together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and innovators from across Europe, all working toward a shared vision for healthy soils and sustainable land management.
