Prinsus

About

PRINSUS is among the first spin-off companies of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), originating from the Laboratory of Process Analysis and Design of the School of Chemical Engineering. The company focuses on transforming knowledge generated through EU-funded programmes—such as Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe, Interreg, and national funding schemes (ESPA)—into practical tools, services and products with real-world applications.

Role in the project

PRINSUS contributes to NitroScope by supporting the analysis and integration of nitrogen management impacts through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Material Flow Analysis (MFA). Within WP4 and WP6, PRINSUS contributes to the assessment of environmental performance and nitrogen flows, supporting the evaluation of mitigation strategies and the consistency of nitrogen budgets across scales.

In addition, PRINSUS supports WP5 and WP7 by contributing to the integration of assessment results into digital tools and exploitation activities. Its experience in process analysis and systems modelling helps translate complex analytical outputs into usable inputs for decision-support tools, sustainability planning and long-term uptake of NitroScope results.
