NGO Soil Innovation Cluster

About

NGO Soil Innovation Cluster was founded in 2015 to deal with an acute topic in the field of agriculture –  soil protection. I see agricultural innovation in everyday practices that make food production environmentally sustainable, but consider it important that the solutions developed are also suitable and can be implemented in local agricultural production. Together with the members of the cluster, we are taking steps to give the next generation better soil and an intact food system.

Role in the project

MTUPK contributes to NitroScope through its expertise in crop research and field experimentation under nemoral and northern European conditions. Within WP3, MTUPK supports data collection at regional data collection sites, providing harmonised datasets on crop performance, soil properties and nitrogen management practices.

In addition, MTUPK supports local stakeholder engagement, working with farmers and practitioners involved in field activities to facilitate data collection and exchange practical knowledge on nitrogen management. This role helps ensure that NitroScope’s datasets reflect real farming conditions and that project activities remain grounded in agricultural practice.
