NitroScope participated in the EU Agri-Food Days in Brussels, a flagship event of the European Commission that brings together key actors shaping the future of agriculture and food systems in Europe. The project was represented by Professor Abdul Mouazen (Ghent University), coordinator of the NitroScope project, highlighting the project’s active engagement with EU-level policy and innovation discussions.

The EU Agri-Food Days provide a high-level platform for dialogue between policymakers, researchers, farmers, industry representatives, and civil society, supporting the exchange of perspectives on the challenges and opportunities facing the agri-food sector.

NitroScope addresses one of the major challenges in European agriculture: the efficient use of nitrogen to support productivity while reducing environmental impacts on soil, water, and climate. Events such as the EU Agri-Food Days are essential for ensuring that research and innovation activities remain connected to policy priorities and real-world needs.

By participating in this forum, NitroScope contributes to ongoing dialogue on how scientific knowledge and digital tools can support more sustainable nutrient management, healthier soils, and resilient farming systems across Europe.
